On
the 30th of July, 2015, deadline for the open call for entries for
the National Art Competition for Children 2015 which themed Protecting ‘People
and the Environment’ ended. Eligible participants were Students in JSS-1 –
SSS-3 classes in Nigerian secondary schools.
Cash
prizes were, 1st prize: 100,000 naira, 2nd prize: 75,000 naira, 3rd prize:
60,000 naira. The
4th - 10th positions received: 50,000 naira each. The Prizes
were for both levels; JSS 1-3 & SSS 1-3
They
all did wonderful Paintings with the combinations of various mediums such as
Poster, water color, oil colour or acrylic. The sizes stipulated were not meant
to exceed 60cm x 45cm with any colour of their choice.
The
Kids who participated in the National Arts Competition for Children 2015 are
very optimistic about winning the competition as they wait in anticipation for
the results...
